Will Babler
Atten Babler Risk Management LLC
Will is a partner in a commodity trading and risk management firm. He works with clients across the entire value chain in agricultural and energy markets to capture opportunity and minimize risk. Previously, Will was an engineer at John Deere working in design, manufacturing, business analysis and marketing. He also worked for Avista Inc. as a developer of avionics software for Boeing and Rockwell Collins. Will grew up on a diversified farming operation in south west Wisconsin working with dairy cows, row crops, equipment and various other entrepreneurial endeavors.
Will is also engaged in renewable energy, regenerative agriculture and conservation activities. He is a developer of renewable energy projects, a partner in a Midwest perennial crop farm, and he serves on the finance committee of the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation. He is also a board member of Mercaris, an organic and identity-preserved agricultural trading and market data company. In addition to serving on the board of the Savanna Institute he also serves on the board of Canopy Farm Management.
As a National Merit Scholar, Will attended Iowa State University on a full academic scholarship. After completing his bachelors of science in mechanical engineering he attended the Stuart Graduate School of Business where he completed a graduate program in financial markets.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and two children.
