[email protected]   |  (608) 448-6432 ext. 206

Barbara leads a team of program and project manager working to reduce the bariers to agroforestry adoption through increased access to technical assistance and institutional partner farms. She also leads Savanna Institute’s Partnership for Climate Smart Commodities grants with The Nature Conservancy and Organic Valley. Originally from France, Barbara has an agronomy masters degree from the Institute Agro Montpellier and a PhD from UW-Madison where she was particularly interested in studying the social aspects of agroforestry.

Drawn to agroforestry practices for their intuitive nature and the potential they offer to address some of today’s biggest challenges, Barbara values approaches grounded in farmers’ knowledge and seeks to strengthen the bonds of the growing agroforestry community.

In her free time, Barbara loves to bake French treats, to paint using watercolors, or knit sweaters in anticipation for the Wisconsin winter.
