This weekend-long event will showcase such topics as site selection, forest botanical and mushroom cultivation and harvest, mulberry production, plant propagation and planting stock, the business of agroforestry, medicinal plant walks, DIY research and more.
Plus in-depth information on opportunities for forest farmers such as access to the Rural Action Native Plant Nursery, free site assessment and management plans, technical and financial assistance through NRCS, and forest farming mentorship.
The $100 registration fee includes a keynote presentation, 5 classroom sessions, 4 field sessions, a panel with beginning and seasoned forest farmers, 2 workshops, and 6 meals. Attendees have the option to camp for free at the United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary or lodging is available in the area.
