American Farmland Trust (AFT) and Argonne National Laboratory are hosting a technical assistance workshop for perennial bioenergy crops. This workshop will provide detailed agronomic expertise to farmers & landowners on the steps to adopt a perennial bioenergy crop like switchgrass and native prairie mixes. AFT will share information on environmental and economic benefits to perennial bioenergy cropping systems on marginal lands as well as potential end use of harvested biomass. Participants will leave with take home resources that can support growing a perennial bioenergy crop and biomass renewable energy in South Central Wisconsin.
