Kathleen Fitzgibbon
Kathleen provides operational and administrative support for the Savanna Institute in our efforts to expand the reach of agroforestry. Growing up in central Illinois, Kathleen heard a lot of history about the state’s rich, dark prairie soil, but only saw gray, rock-like clumps of dirt on her dad’s farm. Savanna Institute’s work integrating conservational practices into agriculture showed her how the land can be revitalized in a way that benefits multiple communities. Long possessing a logistical nature, Kathleen is a core member of Savanna Institute’s Administrative Team. Passionate about environmentalism, Kathleen also volunteers with the climate activist group 350 Wisconsin and earned a graduate certificate in Environmental Policy. In her free time, she enjoys reading, home improvement projects, hiking, and biking around Madison.
