Meredith first got involved with Savanna Institute as an intern helping plant trees at the Demonstration Farms in Illinois. Meredith studied production horticulture at Southern Illinois University and has experience managing small vegetable farms. She also worked for her local Soil and Water Conservation District and is interested in assisting growers overcome barriers to incorporating new conservation practices and perennial crops. Meredith enjoys planting flowers in her vegetable beds, walking in the woods with her son, and dreaming up new farm projects with her husband.
